These missions are designated with the DED_ prefix. (See above) Installation ------------ 1. Move Server_MIB_Campaign.cs to your Starsiege main directory (Starsiege folder). 2. Move all remaining .cs and .mis files into your multiplayer folder. 3. Move all .veh files into your Starsiege main directory (Starsiege folder). Running A Normal Non-Dedicated Server ------------------------------------- To run a normal non-dedicated server with these missions, use the missions WITHOUT the DED_ prefix. These include the following: Martian_Recon Covert_Strike Rescue_Technician New_Technology Arctic_Infiltration Defend_Alexandria Start Starsiege, click on "Multiplayer", then "Create Game". Select "Martain_Recon" from the map selection menu. Then click "Create Server". These maps should automatically cycle between each other when the mission ends. If you only feel like playing one particular mission, type the following in the console after the mission loads to override the cycling process: $cycleMissions = false; (This is normally defaulted to true) Running A Dedicated Server -------------------------- In order to run a dedicated server, make sure all the files included with this pack are installed in their proper places (otherwise it might not work). After that, follow these steps to start your server: 1. Open your Starsiege folder, and find starsiege.exe 2. Select starsiege.exe and right-click on it. A menu should pop up, then click "Create Shortcut" 3. A new file should have been created in your Starsiege folder called "Shortcut to Starsiege.exe". Rename the file "MIB Campaign" 4. Right-click on "MIB Campaign", then click "Properties" 5. A dialog box will pop up. Click on the "Shortcut" tab if necessary. 6. Then select the text in the "Target" textbox, and replace it with the following: C:\Dynamix\Starsiege\starsiege.exe -s Server_MIB_Campaign.cs NOTE: Depending on what drive Starsiege is installed in, you may have to change this a bit. If your copy of Starsiege is not installed on C: then you need to change C: to whatever drive you installed it on. 7. Once done, click OK. Then copy the shortcut you created to your Windows desktop. (Remember, the shortcut was named "MIB Campaign") 8. Now all you have to do is double-click "MIB Campaign" whenever you want to run a dedicated server. Pretty easy, eh? Special Thanks -------------- Thanks go out to Slade for hosting these missions and providing vital feedback during testing and debugging. I could've never fixed these missions without his help.
